DESCRIPTION:It is increasingly apparent that the threats to our natural environment\, including those contributing to climate change cannot be checked by ” Nature Preserves” or “Protected Areas”. We must address human economic activity as it relates the the environment. In the Caribbean sustainable agriculture and sustainable fisheries are obvious answers. What are the others? What government policies and/or social initiatives will help or hinder? \nArtVark is inviting Jamaican and international participants to consider these questions and suggest a better way forward. \n
