SUMMARY:Sustainable Systems for the Greater Antilles Workshop September 2019
DESCRIPTION:Tourism development and extraction of minerals has provided employment and government revenue in the Greater Antilles. However those activities have frequently also damaged the marine and terrestrial environment and poverty persists. This workshop investigate alternative systems and strategies. It will focus on sustainable agriculture & food security\, sustainable fisheries and sustainable tourism and how to develop the political will and regulatory systems that could make them a reality in our islands. Participation is free to residence of Jamaica\, Cuba\, Haiti & The Dominican Republic.
